You know, the trouble with being naturally somewhat morbid is that by the time someone actually dies, you’ve used up all the good music for it.

In any case, while I was a George Carlin fan, I’ll let Sean cover his death. Instead, I thought I’d play some music sung by Julia Ecklar, filker extraordinaire:

This is pretty much the unofficial anthem of sci-fi and space flight. You may also note that it is written by Leslie Fish, who is probably one of the best-known filkers out there.

As sung by Julia Ecklar, it pretty much becomes a hymn, and almost religious in tone. Which is as it should be.
