Trees and Air

Posted by shanoah on July 31, 2009

All right, strange transition time. Cthulhu, cute or not, is green. And green is clearly the traditional color representing Ireland. So it’s clearly time to play Irish music.

Trees are green, too, for that matter. So here is a group called Pentangle playing a traditional song called The Trees They Grow High. It’s entirely possible I’ve played it before here, as I own a cd with Joni Minstrel singing an awesome version of it. This version is just about as good. Only just about, though, because Joni is shear win.

But I promised Irishness, so here is the group Celtic Woman. This features Choe Agnew singing a beautiful song called Walking In The Air. I’m a sucker for these things. And yes, the lyrics may be important.
