    Sean Daily is an English major from New Jersey now living in Las Vegas, the Other City of Lights. Ah. I was thinking of it as posting late the previous day. My bizarre schedule encourages such mistakes…

My minds blank about conspiracy theories and monkeys right now (worrysome; that’s one of the symptoms of a mind wipe ^_-), so, instead, I’ll just post some Scottish music. First, a song you’ve heard before, sung by The Silencers:

Yep, Wild Mountain Thyme. Traditional Scottish tune, right? Well, actually, it’s copyright 1957 by someone in Belfast. However, it’s very clearly derived from a Scottish song from the late 17th century, The Braes of Balquhidder. Here’s a good, non-traditional rendering by a Czech group, Le hAnam:
