Shine and Wail…

Posted by shanoah on March 18, 2009

Well, much as I like Irish music, I’ve posted a lot of it in the past, and I still have a lot of Fraggle Rock songs stashed away. ^_^

First off, here is a song I really like called “Shine on Me”.

‘Sunlight in my words.’ I rather like that turn of phrase. And, well, it is a fairly uplifting tune, which I always am fond of.

And here we see the Fraggle’s preaching individuality, thinking for yourself, and questioning authority. Not enough of that around these days.

You can never, ever, ever, be the boss of someone else…

Couldn’t agree more.

And last is a funeral dirge, which is fast paced, up-tempo, and, well, dancable. You know, if I ever died, something like this would be really cool at my funeral. But then, I’ve always been an advocate of the Irish-type wakes, with lots of laughter, music, and dancing.

And, you know, only on Fraggle Rock could you actually name a character “Boober”.
