Last Man In Europe

Posted by shanoah on March 16, 2009

Yeah, I thought they were pretty good. Admittedly, I got distracted shortly afterwards, and ended up with a dozen[1] clips of songs from Fraggle Rock in my favorites (coming to a blog near you. Be afraid. Be very afraid.) But they had a couple good songs.

Another of theirs that I liked, probably partially for the title, was, The Last Man In Europe. For me, the title reminds me of an old Ray Bradbury story, were a family wakes up one day to find that everyone else had vanished when they were asleep. So it resonates a little with other things I’ve read, which always adds to a song.

Of course, it also reminds me of certain REM songs. Which is all for the good…

[1] Ok, I was exaggerating. 10.
