Captain Moonlight – Great Depression

Posted by shanoah on March 14, 2009

Well, it was more that I found that song when looking at things by Jinx Lennon right before doing that post, and was having trouble getting it out of my own head. And I agree that it’s great low tech theatre.

I was about to do a silly bit centering around you not having posted, but I obviously can’t do that now. I’m still going to post the same music, though, even though it overrode some of the ideas I’d had earlier. (Which you’ll undoubtedly see later on.)

This artist is one that I think has been played on WFMU before. Certainly sounds like it, though I haven’t listened enough to that station to have heard him in rotation. The song I’m going to play would be sure to set off alarms with the FCC, so I’m sure it hasn’t been played on the radio, in any case.  The best stuff never is.

This isn’t worksafe, due to extensive use of swear words. The song is The Great Depression by Captain Moonlight. Great beat, and the song itself is very arresting. And can you believe this video was at 4 views when I found it?
