2-19-09 Peter Gabriel – Sledgehammer

Posted by Sean on February 20, 2009

Okay, I have a vague idea how the director of that Copeland video pulled off that twitchamation effect… and it gives me headaches thinking about it.

Of course, Control Freak isn’t alone in using this effect. We’ve already showcased another similar video, Parts and Labor’s The Gold We’re Digging. And then, of course, there’s the granddaddy of stop-motion videos, Peter Gabriel’s Sledgehammer. This movie includes some early stop-motion work by Nick Park, who was fresh off his Wallace and Gromit short A Grand Day Out.
