Sure, Sean. That’ll be quite a change from what I have been listening to today. I’ve had a concert from the Tom Tom Club on September 25, 2001 going streamed off archive.org. Amoung other songs, it has “The Man With the 4-way Hips”, “Genius of Love”, and “Wordy Rappinghood”, two of which I’ve played here.

But Gypsy Caravan was a great cd. I really do like cds produced by Putomuyo. You can find them pretty easily, too; Whole Foods has them (at least, the one by Fries does), and I believe the music store inside Barnes and Nobles has them.

And, yeah, love Diri, Diri, So Kerdjan. So what else can I play along that vein? How about Paso Panori?

Hmmm, I guess not. Embedding disabled. Pity, it was a perfect pick for this post. Oh well, how about this one?

This is from Hungary. And I agree with you, Sean. There is something very human, and warm about this type of music, and it’s not something you’ll pick up listening to, say, the Jonas Brothers, or Britney Spears, or a number of modern artists. Though some do have that touch to them. It isn’t totally lost.

We just have to search a bit for it.
