"I consider 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' to be comfort reading, I like the al pastor tacos at Tacos Mexico and I count among my literary influences the Chainsaw from 'Doom'. 'RRRRRR! You don't like that, do you, Mr. Undead Marine! RRRRRR!'"

Well, if you’re going to play Enigma, I think the natural translation would be for me to play some Clannad. It may seem like a clichéd choice of celtic music, but there’s a reason for that.

They’re d*** good at what they do:

Theme from Harry’s Game

Now isn’t that an absolutely lovely and incomprehensible song? If you were wondering what they were saying, it’s along this line:

I will go east and go west
From whence came
The moon and the sun
The moon and the sun will go
And the young man
With his reputation behind him
I will go wherever he came from –
The young man with his reputation behind him

Robin – the Hooded Man

And here we have a nice Robin Hood theme. Could have more in the way of lyrics, though.

Siúil A Rún

And here we have intermingled Gaelic and English. The corus is:

Siuil, siuil, siul a run,
Siuil go sochair agus siuil go ciuin
Siuil go doras agus ealaigh lion
Is go dte tu mo mhuirnin slan

which translates as:

Walk, walk, walk, O love,
Walk quickly to me, softly move;
Walk to the door, and away we’ll flee,
And safe may my darling be.

Newgrange is a tomb from 3000 BC, circled by 87 stones, and is about as bit of a mystery as Stonehenge. This video has some nice pictures of it…
