Long Hared Freaky People

Posted by shanoah on September 8, 2008

I’m only doing political posts every few days anyway, Sean. Otherwise I get all agitated. That’s the state of politics today.

I Feel Like I’m Fixing to Die” is a good song, too, and it’s been a while since I’ve heard it. That reminded me of another song I’d been wanting to play.

You recall my “Freak Flag” post, where I was posting songs about long hair, and flying your freak flag?

Well, it’s a pity I’d forgotten about this song at the time, because it would have fit in perfectly:

Signs – Five Man Electric Band

And the sign said “Long Haired Freaky People Need Not Apply“. Like many good songs, that bit was sampled by a later artist, Fatboy Slim, for “Don’t Let the Man get You Down”, which is nowhere near this good.

I like the “Hippies Use Side Door” sign, too…
