Tonzura Koite!

Well, I thought I’d go from a song about the offspring of one of Superman’s villians to the opening theme to one fo the wackiest animes ever; Excel Saga.

I think we missed playing it somehow, and even if we didn’t, I found the singers singing it live. I thought that was very cool, so wanted to share. Only thing I find lacking on this performance is that I felt one of the singers should have been making coughing noises, and acting like they were going to cough up blood.

Seriously.

And, yes, the phrase Tonzura Koite! is one of my favorite bits of the song. Means something along the line of “And we get the hell out!”.

And I’m debating whether to attempt summoning Sean by disco music, or if I should do it with more kawaii penguin videos. Wonder if I could find a video that’s both? (Answer: A million hits. None look that good, though.)
