Well, you’ll do something from Dark Days/Light Years, and I’ll do something from 2007’s Hey Venus!, something like Run-Away. The video stars Matt Berry and directed by Richard Ayoade, both of Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace and The Mighty Boosh, to name a few, so you know it’ll be full of microbudget goodness.

Warped minds think alike, I guess. That’s exactly the song I was thinking of posting next. There are plenty of Super Furry Animal songs to play, though. Funny thing is I wanted to like this band even before I heard them because of the name. Then I heard Hello Sunshine, and was hooked.
Today I’m actually going to play another song from Dark Days/Light Years. So far that seems like a really good album. I think I’m going to have to buy a copy. This is a song called MT. Check out a few of the lyrics.

Wonderful use of background music to support an already hypnotic tune, too. And there’s a nice surreal flavor I always enjoy. Reminds me of Donovan’s There Is A Mountain in a way, actually.
