I heard Xrabit and DMG$’s Damaged Goods on Billy Jam’s Put the Needle on the Record on WFMU on Friday. Couldn’t find it… but I did find this little nugget of retro goodness on their YouTube channel.

Hmmm… No Sean to bounce off today, I guess.
And he’s posted a hip hop song called Caged Bird Part 1. Not sure where to go from that one anyways, but since it’s a canned post, I know there’s no point in trying to keep to a theme anyways. So, today, I’ll post a song I first heard on a service I subscribe to called Songhenge. $20 a year and several times a year, you’re given e-mails with lot’s O’ Celtic, Irish, or just good independant music in it.
Though I was lucky enough to catch them at a point when they had a special lifetime membership thing going. Anyways, here is the song I had in mind:

And this youtube video was actually posted by the singers brother. She certainly has an amazing voice. It may be a bit overly religous for some, but I tend to be a sucker for these things, regardless of the religion, as long as it’s heartfelt. (and not country western. 
)
I actually prefer another song of hers, Back Home, but it wasn’t on youtube or her myspace page. (Though it was on songhenge.) At a warning, her MySpace page is very Christian. Wonder if I can come up with a good Buddhist song for tomorrow…
