Well, Shanoah, I always like what H. P. Lovecraft said about enlightenment: “Insanity is just premature enlightenment. With tentacles.” [1]

Anyway, as you like saying, Shanoah, few people did the mad scientist thing with more style than the Victorians. Something about steam and pumping pistons and ethereal vibrators and women in whalebone corsets just got their hormones creative juices flowing, as this movie from Blur Studios, A Gentlemen’s Duel, can attest.
