Going Batty

Oh, I know how you are about bats, Sean, which is one reason why I thought I’d dedicate this post to them.

First, I thought I’d play an odd song by the name of “Bat Chain Puller”:

Bat Chain Puller – Captain Beefheart

You may recognize Captain Beefheart as being a long time collaborator and friend of Frank Zappa. With songs like this, you can see why.

Next, I rather liked this slideshow:

The pictures of bats on this are great, and the music is apparently an original composition, which I thought was cool.

Next, a touch of anime:

Lady Bat’s theme song – Ankoku no Tsubasa

This is from an anime that, to be honest, I’ve never watched; Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure. It is the second season of a show, that, from what I can tell, is sort of what you’d get if you decided to turn the story of “The Little Mermaid” into a magical girl anime.

Still, with a character named “Lady Bat”, I had to add it in. Though I wouldn’t peg someone named “Lady Bat” as a guy, somehow.

Last, we have footage of a musical:

Haven’t seen this musical. I might have to, after watching this.
