Stupid Freaky Squares

Posted by shanoah on July 22, 2008

All right, I’ve got sort of an odd selection of music for you today. Sort of bizarrely themed, but it felt right at the time.

Hip To Be Square – Huey Lewis & the News

Sean’s already played “White & Nerdy”, so I figured I’d play this instead. It’s always nice when things come around, and things you’ve already been doing become the next big thing.

Dare To Be Stupid – Weird Al Yankovic

I swear, of the couple dozen copies of this music video on Youtube, this is the only one with embedding enabled. It’s a great, outrageous Devoesque video, though. And it can be a lot of fun to act stupid if you aren’t really.

Definitely a Discordian pick.

Standing On the Shoulders of Freaks (cover) – Worm Quartet (song by Henry Phillips)

This song is a great reminder that a lot of the people whos works civilization was based on were total freaks. There is a thin line between genius and madness, and a lot of very bright people, like Sean and I, and… lets just say… eccentric.

Like Leonardo De Vinci.
