Hello Sunshine – Super Furry Animals

Here’s a song from the Welsh band “Super Furry Animals”. The animation on this is well done, and quite psychedelic old-school. The artwork is by Pete Fowler with animation by Pete Candeland. And for those curious, when you get to a section in the song that goes like this:

I'm a minger;
You're a minger, too.
So come on minger;
I want to ming with you...

A minger is an ugly person. It’s a nice, happy, cheerful, dark song.

And how much bad can you say about a band that released an album with the title “Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (In Space)”?

And here we are with a band from Denmark, Mew, with a hand-drawn video for their song, 156. In the video, an elephant has his crew rob a house. He falls in love with a lady he sees in the window of the house, who flees when it is robbed. The elephant then becomes convinced that his crew killed her, and dumps everything from the house overboard.

Bizarre, isn’t it? Cool song, though.
