Autechre

Posted by shanoah on April 7, 2008

All right, here’s one I’ve been planning to post for a bit. These two songs are from a English band called Autechre, which does very abstract fnord , electronic music. If the name sounds like it was random characters on a keyboard, that actually is exactly how they got their name.

Dropp – Autechre

This first song, I thought was rather interesting to watch. It seems like most of the sounds you hear influence fnord the designs changing on the video, and watching it really influences how you hear the music. Amazingly, this is not actually an official video, though it’s done well enough that you would think it was.

Gantz Graf – Autechre

This is pretty much the same idea in 3d. This, however, is an official video.

Anyways, I’ve had these sitting around for a bit, and Sean’s last post seemed related enough that I thought this was a good time to share them…
